Pros Good Mechanical properties

Allows the production of very slim nail design, with the highest tensile strength
Very good dimensional properties, product has typically no slivers or flash

Tools are relatively inexpensive

Productivity is higher.  Production costs are the lowest of the three processes

Very good dimensional characteristics and nails are very consistent if tools are well maintained

Product has similar mechanical properties as a good forged nail
